About Our Job Fairs
Nova Scotia Works, in partnership with the employment centres, Job Junction, Opportunity Place, TEAM Work Cooperative and YMCA Halifax, hosts job fairs with great success for job seekers and employers.
The HRM Spring Job Fair will back April 15th and 16th, 2025!
We hosted a 2-day Spring Job Fair in April 2024 with nearly 4,000 job seekers and over 100 employers.
The most recent event has held on October 17th & 18th, 2024 at Zatzman Sportsplex featuring over 70 employers.
Job seekers can sign up here for updates.
Employers are invited to add their company name to the interest list for future job fair notifications, if registration has closed for the current job fair.
What to Expect at our Job Fairs
Nova Scotia Works Job Fairs offer the following services and benefits:
- job fair prep sessions at your local employment centres
- free resume printing at your local employment centres
- free resume copying at the Job Fair
- an accessible, inclusive and safe location
- access to a quiet/sensory room
- access to multilingual staff, including professional ASL interpreters
- Nova Scotia Works staff on-site to provide assistance at Job Fairs
- complimentary booth space for actively hiring employers
Past Job Fairs
In April 2024, 4,000 people networked over two days at the Spring Job Fair. Nova Scotia Works hosted over 100 actively-hiring employers plus sector councils and community groups. Our 2023 Fall Job Fair featured up to 35 new employers each day, with a total of 1,165 job seekers.
A free resume copy centre, interpreters, career development professionals and other services were available to job seekers.
We strive to provide an accessible job fair to all. ASL, Ukrainian and French interpreters were available at our Job Fairs. Our venues are fully accessible, including a staffed quiet/sensory room. Nova Scotia Works staff were ready to assist with job search related questions and much more.
